According to the updated embargo information shared by Nvidia, the upcoming Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 variant is scheduled to launch in April. The release date is yet to be announced, but Nvidia has already entered the mass production of the GPU cores.

Nvidia embargo information is provided frequently, but we should keep in mind that it can be changed, as in the past, we have seen many embargoes completely changed, delayed, and canceled.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 April

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 is expected to feature either AD104-250 or 251 GPU cores, though both are a cut-down version of the Nvidia Geforce RTX 4070 Ti featuring 5,888 CUDA Cores. These cores run at a Base frequency of 1,920 MHz (vs. 2,310 MHz), while the Turbo frequency reaches 2,475 MHz.

All of these numbers translate to a performance of 29 TFLOPs, which is quite a drop from the Nvidia Geforce RTX 4070 Ti’s 40 TFLOPs. This GPU shares the same memory configuration, so we’re looking at the same 12GB of 21Gbps GDDR6X memory coupled with a 192-bit memory interface, giving us the same 540GB/s bandwidth. All this will be linked to a TDP of 200W, which is 85W less than the top model.

There is no information on the graphics card’s pricing, though do expect it to be around $100 or $200 cheaper than the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti.
