After the mid-high-end GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, Nvidia is planning to launch GeForce RTX 4060 Ti and GeForce RTX 4070. Today we have leaked details about the frequency of the GeForce RTX 4070, which is relatively lower than the Ti variant.
An engineer, Matthew smiths, who works at TechPowerUp and is a GPU database maintainer, has confirmed the clock speed of the GeForce RTX 4070 in the tweet below;
Reference RTX 4070 has a Base clock of 1920 and 2475 boost
first AIB to finish a 4070 is Colorful with their Ultra W OC line, boost of 2505 MHz

The GeForce RTX 4070 reportedly has a 1920 MHz base clock and a 2475 MHz boost clock for the reference Founders Edition Model. Meanwhile, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti had a 135 MHz higher boost and a 390 MHz higher base clock frequency.
Colorful is the first company to submit a factory-overclocked GeForce RTX 4070 non-Ti graphics card. Their GeForce RTX 4070 iGame Ultra White OC features a 2505 Mhz boost clock.
The difference in frequency of the graphics card is because the AD104-250 GPU core used in GeForce RTX 4070 is the cutdown version of the AD104 GPU core used in GeForce RTX 4070ti, which also cut the shaders from 7,680 Shaders to 5,888 and 12GB of GDDR6X memory.
There is no information on the graphics card’s pricing, though do expect it to be around $100 or $200 cheaper than the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti.
The upcoming graphics card is reportedly entering mass production in February 2023. At the same time, the launch date is still not confirmed. What are your thoughts on the upcoming GeForce RTX 4070? Are you excited about new graphics cards?
