Unexpectedly a few days before the recently announced Counter-Strike 2 beta access was made available to a limited number of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players. One of the many participants in the limited beta leaked game files, so the rest of the fans can now play the game offline.
We don’t know if this can be played on unofficial (pirate) servers, but it is confirmed that it can be played against AI (bots). You will need to use a Steam emulator like Goldberg’s or similar to make it work until there is a crack for it.
The final version of Counter-Strike 2 will be available in a free-to-play format (just like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive) to all Steam users this summer.
Counter-Strike 2 Updates:
- Updated and revised maps
- Dynamic game-changing smoke grenades
- Gameplay independent of tick rate
- Redesigned visual effects and audio
- All of a player’s CS: GO elements go with them to CS2
New Weapons look:
You will have all your CS: GO inventory in Counter-Strike 2. So you will have all the items you’ve been collecting over the years with even better looks, thanks to the Source 2 Engine lighting and materials.
In addition to being compatible with classic models and finishes, all standard weapons have been enhanced with high-resolution models, and some weapon finishes take advantage of these new models.
