Best Overall Mouse For WoW

The Best Overall Mouse For WoW - Logitech G Pro X Superlight
Logitech G Pro X Superlight

Specifications: Size: 125 x 63.5 x 40mm | Weight: 63g | Warranty: 2 year limited hardware warranty | Programmable Buttons: 5 | Switch Type: Omron switches | Max Speed (IPS): 400 | DPI Range: 100 — 25,600 | Sensor: HERO 25K Optical Sensor | Connection Type: Wireless and Wired | RGB: No

Pros

  • Remarkably lightweight
  • Sleek design
  • Flawless sensor

Cons

  • Expensive
  • Fewer side buttons

Design: The Logitech G Pro X Superlight has a minimal 5 buttons, which can all be reprogrammed as wished. Furthermore, the mouse supports 5 onboard memory profiles, which can be accessible through the Logitech G HUB software. Although the Logitech G Pro X Superlight doesn’t support RGB, you can control multiple aspects of your Logitech peripherals through the software. The Logitech G HUB isn’t difficult to use, and I got accustomed to the software within a few minutes of using it.

Performance: Because the Logitech G Pro X Superlight utilizes the HERO 25K Optical Sensor, the mouse acceleration and DPI range are flawless. For example, the mouse has a DPI range of 100 — 25,600 and a maximum IPS of 400. For that reason, you should have no problems with properly aiming, even during tough WoW raids. While I was testing the mouse in WoW and other games such as CS:GO, Valorant, and Fortnite, I found the mouse’s accuracy to be precise without any delay, even through a wireless connection.

Connectivity: Talking about connectivity, the Logitech G Pro X Superlight offers two forms. You can choose a 2.4GHz wireless connection or utilize the USB cable that comes with the mouse. As the Logitech G Pro X Superlight has a polling rate of 1,000Hz, I faced no problems with the click or drag latencies. In case your battery runs low, you can simply connect the mouse to the USB cable and still operate it, ensuring you don’t waste valuable time.

You need exceptional click latency: Based on the performance of its sensor, the Logitech G Pro X Superlight has an exceptional click latency of 1ms. Moreover, you can easily play competitive games with the mouse, aside from only World of Warcraft.

You require accurate tracking: If you want your aim to improve and your mouse to travel as much as you request, the Logitech G Pro X Superlight is the perfect option. Accurate tracking can also be useful while playing World of Warcraft.

You want wireless connectivity: The Logitech mouse offers amazing wireless connectivity and performance. If you want to reduce cable clutter from your PC table, using a wireless mouse that doesn’t lose performance is crucial. The Logitech G Pro X Superlight achieves a 2.4GHz wireless connection with a 1,000Hz polling rate, keeping drag latencies low.

❌Don't Buy It If

You have small hands: The Logitech G Pro XSuperlight isn’t the best option if you have smaller hands and want to utilize the fingertip grip. It can be difficult to reach the side buttons if your hands aren’t big enough. Other than that, you should be fine with different grips.

You want extra side buttons: An important requirement for playing WoW is to utilize a mouse’s extra side buttons as hotkeys for the abilities of the heroes you play. Because the Logitech G Pro X Superlight offers 5 programmable buttons, the mouse may go off the radar for consumers looking for more buttons.

What Makes It The Best Overall Mouse For WoW?

The sturdy build, low weight, amazing connectivity options, great battery life, and charging possibilities, along with software integration, make the Logitech G Pro X Superlight the best overall mouse for WoW. Other reasons, such as wireless charging possibilities with the Logitech POWERPLAY mousepad, wired connectivity, high polling rate, and great acceleration, also constitute the title for the mouse.

Logitech G600

Best Budget MMO Mouse For WoW

Best Budget MMO Mouse For WoW - Logitech G600
Logitech G600

Specifications: Size: 118 x 75 x 41mm | Weight: 133g | Warranty: 3 year limited hardware warranty | Programmable Buttons: 20 | Switch Type: Omron switches | Max Speed (IPS): 160 | DPI Range: 200 — 8,200 | Sensor: Logitech Delta Zero Sensor | Connection Type: Wired | RGB: Yes

Pros

  • Plethora of side buttons
  • Comfortable design
  • RGB customizable

Cons

  • Bulky
  • Not ambidextrous design

Design: Looking at the design, the Logitech G600 mouse is on the bulkier end with a size of 118 x 75 x 41mm. Because it has 20 programmable buttons, 12 of which are located on the left side, it can be difficult for people with smaller hands to use the mouse properly. However, these buttons enable MMO players to reprogram many skills on the mouse directly and save up to 3 different settings on the onboard memory profiles. The mouse also offers customizable RGB, which you can access through the Logitech G HUB software.

Performance: The Logitech G600 utilizes the Logitech Delta Zero sensor to save on costs. Even so, while I was testing the mouse, I had almost no problems with the accuracy. Although there was a slight jitter occasionally, it wasn’t extremely noticeable. With a DPI range of 200 — 8,200, you should have no problems adjusting to your play style. Moreover, with a maximum IPS of 100 and max acceleration of 30g, you won’t find any problems playing MMO games such as WoW.

Connectivity: Unlike many famous Logitech mice, the Logitech G600 stays on the wired platform in terms of connectivity. The decision helps save costs while ensuring consumers don’t have to worry about charging. Staying wired also allowed Logitech to use a slightly less efficient sensor. Unfortunately, if you’re looking for a wireless or Bluetooth mouse, avoiding the Logitech G600 may be best. For everyone else, the mouse utilizes a braided cable with almost zero flex, making the mouse stand out amongst other wired competitors.

You want many programmable buttons: If you want many reprogrammable buttons, the Logitech G600 covers you with 20 buttons. Whether playing World of Warcraft or other MMO games, you probably won’t run out of buttons.

You want software convenience: While it can be daunting to program multiple buttons, the Logitech G HUB software makes it convenient. To reprogram all 20 buttons to play WoW, it only took me a matter of minutes.

You require a big mouse: Consumers with big hands can usually never find a mouse that fits their hands. However, with the Logitech G600, you can easily rest your entire hand in a palm grip without any worries.

❌Don't Buy It If

You want a wireless mouse: The Logitech G600 isn’t meant for you if you’re looking for a wireless mouse. The only connectivity offered by the mouse is a wired connection.

You want a lightweight mouse: If you’re searching for a lightweight mouse with many buttons, the Logitech G600 isn’t yours. With a weight of 133g and rear-heavy weight distribution, it feels like moving a brick when you drag the mouse.

What Makes It The Best Budget MMO Mouse For WoW?

With 20 programmable buttons, a sturdy design with almost no flex, customizable RGB, and an accurate sensor for the price, the Logitech G600 exceeds its price, offering amazing value. While it isn’t the most budget-friendly peripheral, it is by far the best budget MMO mouse for WoW. There are barely any other mice with as many buttons or features in the same price range.

Pros

  • Plethora of side buttons
  • Wireless and Bluetooth connectivity
  • Removable side plates
  • RGB customizations

Cons

  • Not ambidextrous design
  • Heavy

Design: The Razer Naga Pro Wireless has a unique design, offering removable side plates for the ease of consumers. Depending on your mouse usage, you can have 2, 6, or 12 side buttons. Moreover, you get customizable RGB with the mouse, allowing for the same color theme. Additionally, you can also have up to 5 onboard memory profiles, allowing you to program your buttons for multiple games. Also, the Razer Synapse software used to customize the mouse is extremely user-friendly. It only took me a few minutes to get accustomed to the software.

Performance: Besides the unique design, the Razer Naga Pro Wireless mouse also showcases amazing performance. With the Razer Focus+ 30K, the mouse has a DPI range of 100 — 20,000. Moreover, we see a maximum IPS of 650 and an acceleration of 50g, making the Razer Naga Pro Wireless one of the fastest mice. While playing numerous games, I had no jitter issues, and the mouse worked magnificently. You can use the Naga Pro for all types of games by switching the side plates as you wish.

Connectivity: Aside from the amazing performance, the Razer Naga Pro Wireless mouse also offers multiple connectivity types. You can use the Speedflex cable with a dongle for a wired connection, or you can use the 2.4GHz wireless connection. Additionally, you can also utilize the Bluetooth connectivity option if you wish. Thanks to the 1,000Hz polling rate, there is no jitter even while using the Bluetooth connection. Also, you can utilize Razer’s HyperPolling feature, which increases the polling rate to 2,000Hz or 4,000Hz. However, your battery life will drain quicker by activating HyperPolling, so do it only when needed.

✅Buy It If

You want to utilize the replaceable side plates: One of the many Unique Selling Points (USPs) of the Razer Naga Pro Wireless is its replaceable side plates. If you’re playing competitive games, 2 side buttons should be enough, while 6 are plenty for MOBA games. The 12-sided button plate is perfect for MMO games such as World of Warcraft.

You need a smooth gliding experience: The 100% PTFE mouse feet, along with the amazing sensor, make it possible for the Razer Naga Pro wireless to ensure a smooth gliding experience. The mouse is also a good option for drag-clicking, even though it is slightly heavy.

❌Don't Buy It If

You require proper weight distribution: Aside from the weight, the Razer Naga Pro Wireless has little to no weight optimization. The mouse has a front-end weight distribution, making it feel heavier than it is.

You want to connect to a MacOS: Unfortunately, the Razer Naga Pro Wireless doesn’t support MacOS. Therefore, if you wish to use the mouse with a Mac computer, you’re better off looking for another peripheral.

What Makes It The Best MMO Mouse For WoW?

The amazing battery life, sturdy design, unique build quality, and three swappable side plates are a few reasons why the Razer Naga Pro Wireless is the best MMO mouse for WoW. The amazing drag-clicking capabilities due to the sensor and accurate precision are other reasons for the title.

Logitech G305

Specifications: Size: 116.6 x 62.15 x 38.2mm | Weight: 99g | Warranty: 2 year limited hardware warranty | Programmable Buttons: 6 | Switch Type: Omron switches | Max Speed (IPS): 400 | DPI Range: 200 — 12,000 | Sensor: Logitech HERO Sensor | Connection Type: Wireless | RGB: No

Pros

  • Long battery life
  • Affordable
  • Durable design
  • Great click latency

Cons

  • Small size
  • Not rechargeable

Design: The Logitech G305 comes with 6 buttons, which can be reprogrammed using the Logitech G HUB software. The mouse also supports up to 5 onboard memory profiles, each saving up to 5 DPI levels in each profile. Of course, learning how to use the Logitech G HUB software is extremely simple, and it only took me a few minutes to get used to it. While the G305 doesn’t support any RGB, you can also tweak your RGB customizations from the same software. Moreover, you can also check the mouse’s battery life and other crucial specifications through the software.

Performance: Because the Logitech G305 is a budget mouse, it doesn’t have the best sensor in the market. However, the Logitech HERO sensor is still an amazing option for playing MMO games. With a DPI range of 200 — 12,000, where you can adjust the DPI in increments of 100, you have a lot of customization capabilities. Moreover, you can accurately click and drag with an IPS of 400 and a maximum acceleration of 40g. While testing the product, I faced slight to no jitters or latency issues, improving my gaming performance.

Connectivity: Talking about latency, the Logitech G305 offers wireless connectivity. With changeable polling rates, the mouse offers a range from 125Hz — 1,000Hz. The battery life will increase or decrease depending on the polling rate you choose. Furthermore, you can shift between the “performance” and “endurance” modes. While the endurance mode increases battery life, the response rate skyrockets to 8ms, which isn’t idle for gaming. The Logitech G305 works on the performance mode out of the box, so you don’t have to worry about tweaking the mouse settings.

You want a gaming and working mouse: If you’re looking for a peripheral you can take to work and play games with, the Logitech G305 is meant for you. A budget-friendly option, a minimalistic design, and an acceptable performance for work situations under the endurance mode make it the best choice.

You’re looking for a high-performance sensor: While under a strict budget, finding mice with a high-performance sensor can be difficult. However, the Logitech G305 defies those odds with its Logitech HERO sensor, providing amazing DPI ranges, IPS, and maximum acceleration values.

❌Don't Buy It If

Non-rechargeable batteries are a concern: On the offset where you don’t want to buy batteries for your mouse occasionally, you shouldn’t purchase the Logitech G305. Although the peripheral has an amazing battery life, you will eventually have to get new batteries.

You have big hands: If you have big hands, you will have difficulty using the Logitech G305. It will be especially difficult to use the palm grip. If such is the case, looking for an alternative, bigger mice may be better.

What Makes It The Best Budget Mouse For WoW?

The amazing battery life of 250 hours in performance mode, sturdy yet minimalistic design, amazing response rate, click latency, and reprogramming capabilities for the low price make the Logitech G305 the best budget mouse for WoW.

Razer Viper V2 Pro

Best Lightweight Mouse For WoW

Best Lightweight Mouse For WoW - Razer Viper V2 Pro
Razer Viper V2 Pro

Specifications: Size: 126.5 x 66.2 x 37.8mm | Weight: 58g | Warranty: 1 year limited warranty | Programmable Buttons: 5 | Switch Type: Optical Mouse Switches Gen-3 | Max Speed (IPS): 750 | DPI Range: 100 — 30,000 | Sensor: Focus Pro 30K Optical Sensor | Connection Type: Wired, Wireless | RGB: No

Pros

  • Superbly low weight
  • Great grip design
  • Amazing battery life
  • Amazing wireless performance

Cons

  • Not ambidextrous design
  • Complicated DPI switching
  • Single onboard memory profile

Design: The Razer Viper V2 Pro has an amazingly minimalistic design, portraying its lightweight. With 5 programmable buttons, it’s the perfect mouse for competitive gameplay and office work. However, I wouldn’t consider it the best MMO mouse due to the lack of side buttons. Moreover, the Viper V2 Pro offers only 1 onboard memory profile, which saves the last settings used on the Razer Synapse software. This means you can only save 1 game’s profile at a time and must reprogram the buttons for another game. The Razer Synapse software used for reprogramming buttons is easy to handle and does not have a harsh learning curve. If the Viper V2 Pro offered RGB, you could customize it using the software.

Performance: Looking at the performance, the Razer Viper V2 Pro goes above and beyond with its capabilities. Using the Focus Pro 30K Optical Sensor, the peripheral manages a DPI range of 100 — 30,000, which can be changed in increments of 100. With a maximum IPS of 750 and acceleration of 70g, you should have no problems in tracking or accuracy. Even the slightest movements I made with my hand were registered by the mouse, showcasing its drastically accurate sensor. This performance can give WoW players an advantage if they have good accuracy.

Connectivity: The Razer Viper V2 Pro is a unique mouse in many ways. Considering the connectivity, the peripheral proves its uniqueness. For starters, the Viper V2 Pro offers a wireless 2.4GHz connection and a wired connection through a USB-C cable, also used to charge the mouse. The unique aspect comes out when we look at the polling rate of both connections. Most mice have a higher polling rate when wired. However, the Viper V2 Pro has a wired polling rate of 1,000Hz and a maximum polling rate of 4,000Hz when wireless. This is because of Razer’s HyperPolling technology, which allows for a greater polling rate in increments from 1,000Hz, 2,000Hz, and 4,000Hz. This significantly improves the wireless performance of the peripheral, which most of the competition can’t match.

You want an amazing gliding experience: The mouse’s nimbleness and 100% PTFE feet make the Razer Viper V2 Pro one of the best mice for gliding. You can glide the mouse under almost any surface without facing any issues.

Require a comfortable symmetrical shape: The Viper V2 Pro is a great mouse to utilize the palm grip and relax the wrist. The symmetrical shape of the peripheral allows for such a comfortable time under longer usage.

❌Don't Buy It If

You need more than 1 onboard memory profile: The biggest disadvantage of the Razer Viper V2 Pro is its single onboard memory profile. If you’re a user like me who programs the side buttons for multiple games and software, the Razer Viper V2 Pro won’t cut it.

What Makes It The Best Lightweight Mouse For WoW?

The nimbleness of the peripheral, along with its symmetrical design and 100% PTFE feet, are a few reasons that make the Razer Viper V2 Pro the best lightweight mouse for WoW. The amazing wireless performance, sensor capabilities, gliding experience, long battery life, and even weight distribution are other reasons for the title.

Important Mouse Key Terms

  • DPIShort for Dots Per Inches, DPI is used to calculate the sensitivity of a mouse. Usually, gamers tend to keep their mice’s DPI from 800 — 1,200.
  • PTFE: PolyTetraFlouroEthylene is a type of high-quality plastic used for mice feet for a smoother gliding experience.
  • IPS: Abbreviated as Inches Per Second, is a value that showcases the maximum velocity the mouse sensor supports.
  • Acceleration: The acceleration of a mouse shows the speed of the cursor. Faster acceleration is an important feature for competitive gamers.
  • Polling RateThe polling rate of a mouse is the frequency at which your peripheral communicates with the PC. The value is typically measured in Hertz (Hz). Typically, mice have a polling rate range from 125Hz — 1,000Hz. However, mice may have greater polling rates, going to 4,000Hz.
  • Optical SensorAn optical mouse sensor takes photographs of the surface beneath the peripheral at a high rate and analyzes the pictures to determine the movement of the mouse.
  • CPIShort for Counts Per Inch, CPI is the measure of steps registered by the mouse sensor as it is moved physically.
  • Programmable Buttons: These are extra buttons on a mouse through which users can create macros or shortcuts to ease their productivity tasks.

How We Selected These Mice

There are various things one must be aware of before purchasing a peripheral. For that reason, while selecting these mice, I looked into the comfort, sensor, polling rate, and click latency.

  • Comfort: What good is a mouse if it’s not comfortable in your hands? Therefore, I took utmost caution in choosing mice that feel great on all hand sizes. Rubber sides and ambidextrous designs are even better.
  • Sensor: The sensor of a mouse is a surefire method to understand how slow or fast your cursor moves on the screen. If you’re a competitive gamer, a faster sensor is important. Good wireless mice utilize high-quality sensors for a longer battery life.
  • Polling Rate: The polling rate measures how often a peripheral reports its position on the monitor screen. Higher polling rates are important for competitive gamers for accurate tracking. Most mice have a maximum polling rate of 1,000Hz, but some may have up to 4,000Hz. Increasing the polling rate in wireless mice can decrease the battery life, so you should consider that while purchasing the peripheral.
  • Click Latency: Aside from the polling rate, the click latency showcases how long a mouse takes to send a signal to the computer. The lower the click latency, the better. While choosing these mice, I made sure the peripherals had the lowest click latency possible. Therefore, most peripherals in the review have a click latency of 1ms.
