Logitech G Pro X Superlight Wireless
Best Overall Mouse For Butterfly Clicking
Connectivity: Wireless | Sensor: HERO 25K Optical Sensor | Switches: 20M Omron Switches | Weight: <63g | Programmable Buttons: 5 | Max DPI: 25,600 | Ambidextrous: Yes | Battery Life: 70 hours | RGB: None
Pros
- 20M Omron Switches
- Extremely Lightweight
- Great Performance
- 70h Battery Life
Cons
- Steep Pricing
- No RGB
Design & Build Quality: The G PRO X SUPERLIGHT Wireless sports a minimalistic design without RGB, and weighs just 63g without relying on the honeycomb design. It impressed me with its firm build quality at such a light weight. We also get pure PTFE feet which enhance its smooth gliding across surfaces.
Performance: With the HERO 25K Optical Sensor, the G Pro X Superlight packs quite a punch. Moreover, it houses 20M Omron switches, which are some of the most well-designed switches I have ever tested. So, the HERO sensor gives you incredible accuracy, while the Omron switches make butterfly clicking easy.
Connectivity & Battery Life: Logitech’s LightSpeed Wireless Technology (2.4 GHz) powers the mouse and the polling rate shoots up to 1000Hz. There were absolutely no connectivity problems or delays, and the battery duration neared 70 hours during my dedicated testing, which is dead-close to what Logitech has advertised.
Here’s what I had to say about the G Pro X Superlight in my review:
“With the G pro x superlight, Logitech successfully achieved a lightweight design with a premium feel and exceptional performance, albeit at a higher cost.”

I’ve attached more pictures of the G Pro X Superlight (White variant) from our review:
✅ You prioritize lightweight design: The Logitech G Pro X Superlight, weighing less than 63g, significantly reduces strain during extended use, especially for butterfly clicking.
✅ You’re into high-sensitivity gaming: Not just in Minecraft, but the HERO 25K Sensor is excellent for any high-sensitivity games with its precise and responsive control.

❌ Budget is a concern: The Logitech G Pro X Superlight comes with a steep price tag, although I would argue that its competitive features justify the cost.

Logitech G305 Lightspeed Wireless
Best Budget Mouse For Butterfly Clicking
Connectivity: Wireless | Sensor: HERO 12K Optical Sensor | Switches: 10M Omron Switches | Weight: 99g | Programmable Buttons: 6 | Max DPI: 12,000 | Ambidextrous: Yes | Battery Life: 250 hours | RGB: None
Pros
- Very Affordable
- Wireless Connectivity
- 250hr Battery Life
Cons
- Heavy 99g Weight
- No RGB
Design & Build Quality: The Logitech G305 is small but weighs 99 grams. With a weight that is quite high for a mouse of this size, you already know the build quality will be great, and it is. We have a simple and ambidextrous design without RGB, but the mouse does offer a variety of colors for customizability.
Performance: Logitech’s HERO sensor also powers the G305 Lightspeed Wireless but the DPI support is limited to 12,000. Meanwhile, its Omron switches (Sound test attached below) are rated for 10M instead of 20M, but that’s still enough for years of usage. I tested the mouse in several FPS games and it worked like magic in my hands.
Connectivity & Battery Life: Again, we have the same Lightspeed Wireless technology as the G Pro X Superlight, with a 1ms response time (1000Hz polling rate). But, another step was taken for cutting costs: the use of AA batteries instead of rechargeable ones. These batteries last up to 250 hours.
I was impressed by the performance the mouse offered with its compact size, saying:
The Logitech G305 is an excellent FPS gaming mouse. It provides a low click latency and a comfortable form that fits most hand sizes and grip styles.”

What Makes It The Best Budget Mouse For Butterfly Clicking?
I have been seriously impressed by Logitech’s approach to keep the mouse at a budget-friendly price while offering serious performance. The mouse still features Omron switches, which are basically the best for butterfly clicking. Furthermore, it also has an excellent sensor and wireless connectivity, giving it superior performance. For all of these reasons and more, the Logitech G305 was my top Budget Mouse For Butterfly Clicking.

ROCCAT Kone AIMO Remastered
Best Mouse For Butterfly And Drag Clicking
Connectivity: Wired | Sensor: ROCCAT Owl-Eye Optical Sensor | Switches: Omron Switches | Weight: 130g | Programmable Buttons: 12 | Max DPI: 16000 | Ambidextrous: No | Battery Life: N/A | RGB: Yes
Pros
- Large Click Area
- Comfortable Grip
- Beautiful Looks
Cons
- Heavy Weight
Design & Build Quality: The ROCCAT Kone AIMO Remastered has a design that’s tailored not only for butterfly clicking, but also for drag clicking (particularly thanks to its large size). The mouse weighs a solid 130g, so it took me a while to adjust as I am used to lightweight mice. It also features beautifully placed five-zone RGB.
Performance: Rocking the Owl-Eye Optical Sensor, the mouse is also performance-centric. The sensor supports up to 16000 DPI, and as far as performance goes, ROCCAT has knocked it out of the park as the performance was butter-smooth in my testing. We also have an adjustable lift-off distance; good stuff from ROCCAT!
Connectivity: The mouse comes with a 1.8m braided USB cable, offering adjustable polling rates (125Hz, 250Hz, 500Hz, and 1000Hz), and the response time is a mere 1ms. I found the braided cable to be a bit staff, and would have liked a bit more flexibility.

✅ You prioritize drag-clicking, too: The combination of Omron switches and a large click area makes this mouse stand out for drag-clicking.

❌ The mouse is too heavy/large: If you have small hands and are used to lightweight mice, this one might not be the best choice.

Pros

Performance: Under the hood is the Focus Pro 30K Optical Sensor, one of the best sensors I have tested in a while. We also have Optical Mouse Switches Gen-3 with a mere 0.2 ms response time. I absolutely loved the performance of the mouse, and its 100% pure PTFE feet meant butter smooth gliding in my dedicated testing.
Connectivity & Battery Life: Wireless connectivity is enabled by Razer’s HyperSpeed Wireless technology. The polling rate support is up to 1000Hz, but the HyperPolling Wireless Dongle jacks that up to 4000Hz. Battery life is impressive, successfully lasting 80 hours in my testing. Lastly, you can use the Speedflex cable for a wired connection.
Here’s what I said about the mouse during my in-depth review:
“While there are more affordable options for casual users, this mouse stands out as a top choice for dedicated professional gamers.”

Important Mouse Terms
Whenever you’re shopping for a mouse, be sure to watch out for the following terms:
- DPI: Short for Dots Per Inch, DPI measures the sensitivity of a mouse. It tells us how many pixels a mouse will go over when you move it an inch.
- Sensor: It is the mouse sensor’s job to tell the computer about the mouse’s movement and position, which is then translated to the cursor on the screen.
- Polling Rate: It is the number of times in a second a mouse will report its information to the PC.
- IPS: It is the maximum speed you can move your mouse with it accurately tracking its movement.
How We Picked The Best Mouse For Butterfly Clicking
Let’s briefly go over the factors I considered while picking these mice:
- Switches: For butterfly clicking in Minecraft, you should go for a mouse with excellent switches, preferably mechanical ones. Mechanical switches offer low actuation force and tactile feedback, crucial for rapid clicking in PvP scenarios. Most of my recommendations feature mechanical Omron switches for their durability and ease of use. Additionally, I recommended the Razer V2 Pro with Optical Mouse Switches Gen-3 for its exceptional performance in butterfly clicking.
- Performance: Of course, I evaluated my recommendations based on their performance a lot. This includes their sensor, max DPI, max speed, acceleration, and other features that account for good performance. I played several competitive games on a variety of mice to figure out which offered the best performance.
- Connectivity: Most of my recommendations have wireless connectivity, that’s because when you are clicking rapidly, you don’t want wires to get in your way. Nevertheless, whether wired or wireless, I judged the best mouse for butterfly clicking based on their polling rate as well as response time. In the case of wireless mice, I also factored in their battery timing because it can impact their usage.
- Ergonomics: Choosing a mouse for Minecraft involves careful consideration of ergonomics. I examined mice suited for butterfly clicking, assessing grip compatibility, hand sizes, and weight for optimal comfort during gameplay. The mice I selected prioritize comfort, ensuring a pleasant experience for prolonged use.
