Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was released in 2020, and the title received a lot of positive reception. The game set out to offer an authentic Viking experience, diving further into the RPG elements of the previous two releases.

The game was also released on PC but was limited to Ubisoft Connect and Epic Games Store. Today, YoobieRe has reverse-engineered the Ubisoft Connect Launcher, and a new product entry for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has been spotted. According to the report, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla could soon be headed to Steam.

The image shown above was initially shared on SteamDB’s discord server. Going by the image, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will be coming to Steam, but the exact date is unknown.

The platform is already home to nearly every Assassin’s Creed title for PC, and Steam continues to grow exceptionally. Games like Call of Duty have also returned to Steam, and Modern Warfare 2 has seen huge success on the platform due to this move. Perhaps Ubisoft is looking to emulate this success with Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.

As mentioned earlier, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla on PC skipped Steam in favor of the Epic Games Store. While the Epic Games Store has a number of great qualities, the general audiences have shown a clear preference for Steam. This likely meant that Ubisoft missed out on quite a few potential buyers.

Assassin’s Creed is massive, having sold over 200 million games worldwide. A potential Steam release will likely boost sales for the franchise while also creating more anticipation for the next game.

This could also mean that Assassin’s Creed Mirage will not repeat the same mistake. Assassin’s Creed Mirage is set to release in 2023, and the game is shaping up to be an excellent return to form for the long-running franchise.

Furthermore, Ubisoft has also announced several new games for the Assassin’s Creed franchise. While information is currently limited, fans can expect to learn more about the franchise’s future in the coming months.
