Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is another plausible Spider-Man game from Insomniac Games, known for its compelling games based on Marvel comics primarily and currently studio is working on two upcoming games, Marvel’sWolverine, slated for a 2023 release, and Spider-Man 2.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales got a PC port released yesterday with DLSS3 and Ray-tracing support to enhance the visuals. However, it could not beat the record of an all-time high of 66,436 concurrent players on Steam of Spider-Man Remastered, released in August of this year.

On the other hand, Spider-Man: Miles Morales only reached an all-time high of 12,241 concurrent players.

Originally Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales was released as a PlayStation exclusive in 2020 at the time of PlayStation 5’s launch; the game was praised for its stunning visuals, thanks to the latest hardware, and the story of the game was intriguing as well.

However, the only drawback was that the game doesn’t go the extra mile to offer anything out of the box regarding the gameplay compared to the other Spider-Man by Insomniac Games. Still, Spider-Man: Miles Morales sold over 6.5 million copies by July 2021.

Sony has been generous recently with releasing its exclusives on the PC platform. Interestingly, the most successful among them was Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, which managed to set a record of almost 65,000 concurrent players on Steam shortly after its release.

It was expected that Spider-Man: Miles Morales would have a similar effect, considering the reviews it got at the time of its release. But unfortunately, it was not the case.

Similarly, the other two PlayStation exclusives released on PC recently, Sackboy: A Big Adventure and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, were PlayStation’s weakest releases on the PC platform. They both failed to gather a player count as massive as Spider-Man Remastered, and it seems like Spider-Man: Miles Morales also falls in the same category.

But still, it looks like Sony will continue with its PC releases due to the platform’s massive audience, and Sony has also hinted towards a day-one release of live service games on PC and PlayStation.
