In addition to producing well-known games like Cuphead, Hollow Knight, and Rust, to name a few, Unity has long been one of the leading game engines, and they are constantly working hard to improve its engine.
A while back, Unity gave us “Enemies,” a real-time cinematic teaser that demonstrated how much they were improving their game engine, And now, at the Unite 2022 Keynote, Unity showcased amazing potential of its “Enemies” tech demo even on an Xbox Series X, featuring real-time ray traced reflections and dynamic lightning.
They also showed us fantastic hair and animation physics by adding wind to the hair and moving the character. They even changed the character’s facial expressions, which almost made us forget that it was not real.
Although, we were previously aware of the Xbox Series X’s powerful specifications, Unity’s “Enemies” tech demo still impressed us. It showed us what the Xbox Series X is capable of even at 4k resolution.
We first saw the enormous potential of Unreal Engine 5 through a tech demo, and now Unity has done the same. It appears that video games will become considerably more realistic in the not-too-distant future on consoles, and we are waiting to see how that turns out.
We are excited to see what wonders. Unity will produce in the future. This is the limited information we have for now, but we will be looking for more news regarding what Unity offers in the future.
