The sequel to Insomniac’s 2018 release was revealed at the PlayStation showcase in 2021. Fans saw their first look at the next game, and a potential tease for characters like Kraven the hunter and Venom. Since then, fans have been craving for more information and a big gameplay reveal.
A new leak has pointed at an exciting time for fans of Marvel’s Spider-Man. According to prominent leaker millieamand, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 gameplay is coming very soon.

According to the leaker’s sources, Spider-Man 2 is exceeding all sorts of expectations. Fluidity and visuals are also striking. All of this sounds very believable. Spider-Man 2 will be developed exclusively for the PlayStation 5. As such, the title will not be restricted by older hardware.
Insomniac Games have already released Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart for the PlayStation 5. The developer has likely become very familiar with the PS5 hardware, and will be able to utilize this experience to improve Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
The leaker also claims that the reveal is coming very soon. Rumors have been pointing to a PlayStation showcase in September. However, no official announcement has come from Sony, at the moment.
A Disney and Marvel Games showcase is also scheduled for September 9, 2022. While this would be an odd choice for a gameplay reveal, Disney could be looking to utilize the brand’s popularity to bring Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 to their showcase.
The leak paints an exciting picture for Spider-Man 2. Insomniac Games could be leading the charge for the next generation of gaming, and it sounds like Marvel higher-ups are certainly impressed.
Insomniac Games is also working on Marvel’s Wolverine for the PlayStation 5. Between Wolverine and Spider-Man, it seems like PlayStation 5 is the platform of choice for fans of the beloved Marvel characters.
