According to the latest rumors, Intel will officially announce its 13th Gen Raptor Lake CPUs on 28th September.
Shortly after their official announcement, these CPUs would already be available for purchase alongside new Intel Z790 chipset motherboards on 17th October. The mid-range motherboards based on the Intel H770 and B760 chipsets are expected to arrive in Early 2023.
Specifically, the announcement of these mid-range motherboards along with “non-K” Raptor Lake CPUs would take place on 5th January at the CES 2023 in Las Vegas. The current motherboards will be backward compatible with Raptor Lake, as well as the use of DDR4 RAM, so it makes sense that the company only focuses on the enthusiast range at the start.
Soon after the launch of mid-range motherboards, we expect prices of Z690, H670, and B660 motherboards to drop. On the other hand, the H710 chipset will never arrive as H610 will be kept for that segment.
In this way, the Intel Raptor Lake processors will arrive at least 2 weeks before the launch of the AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors, something quite curious if said launch period is really met. Below you can also see the comparison between both platforms;

Intel will launch sooner because in recent days we have seen numerous benchmarks of Intel Core i9-13900K, Core i7-13700K, and Core i5-13600K processors in both CPU-Z, Geekbench, and in games benchmarks, while that silence reigns in AMD, something quite strange if its launch really is just around the corner, while Intel already has practically everything ready to mass-produce the final versions of its CPUs since the leaked benchmarks are Engineering samples.
