The Need for Speed franchise needs no introduction. EA’s series of racing games is one of the most popular names in the entire video games industry. From titles like Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit to the likes of Need for Speed Carbon, the franchise has had a number of successful games over the years.
However, the original Need for Speed: Most Wanted is still considered the pinnacle of the franchise by many. Over 17 years later, fans still look back on the game fondly for its incredible mix of street racing and memorable story. Moreover, EA tried to capitalize on Need for Speed: Most Wanted’s success in 2012. Despite Criterion’s efforts, the developers failed to recapture the magic of the original.
Interestingly, YouTube channel TeaserPlay has now taken a shot at highlighting Need for Speed’s legendary title. The channel has previously made several concept videos in Unreal Engine 5, and the latest video aims to showcase a potential Need for Speed: Most Wanted 2.
The video kicks off with a single car, showcasing the detailed model created by the YouTuber. The car itself is a central part of the concept, and TeaserPlay has picked the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio for his rendenition of Need for Speed.
Unreal Engine 5 shines in the hyper realistic environments portrayed in the concept. The environments look impressively detailed as the car speeds by, and the sports sedan is certainly no slouch either in this regard. Alfa Romeo’s car model looks incredible in nearly every aspect.
Furthermore, Unreal Engine 5’s lighting is praise-worthy as always. The realistic shadows and reflections make for an immersive experience like no other. Additionally, the YouTuber has used tools like Lumen and Nanite to bring Need for Speed: Most Wanted 2 to life.
