GTA 6 is said to be Rockstar’s most ambitious game, with the team striving to achieve a level of perfection never seen before. Despite the promises, much remains unknown about the title.

Rockstar has already confirmed that the game is set in Leonida. However, no GTA would be complete without plenty of extra content, and GTA 6 will be no different. According to leaks, Rockstar’s latest open-world is set to offer three separate islands.

Why it matters: After a 10-year wait, fans have sky-high expectations from Rockstar and GTA 6. Many want to see a huge upgrade to various elements, including the map itself.

This information comes from multiple sources, with fans piecing together information.

For starters, the reliable Tyler McVicker has previously alluded to the inclusion of Cuba when asked about GTA 6. He also accurately revealed that the game would be based on Flordia, with the map extending into Cuba.

Elsewhere, another leaker suggested that the game would feature three islands. One of these will be inspired by the Bahamas, while the third’s identity is unknown as of now.

With the information combined, fans can expect to explore a huge map that offers much more than just Leonida. The leaker suggests GTA 6 won’t feature a map as big as everyone wants, but it will still be a major leap over Rockstar’s work in GTA 5.

According to the information, Rockstar is also aiming to make most buildings interactable this time. If true, this could certainly compensate for the map’s smaller-than-anticipated size.

GTA 6 is currently targeting a Fall 2025 release date.

While the game is still over a year away, excitement couldn’t be any higher. The first trailer recently reached 200 million views, making it a great time to revisit the footage as fans look forward to the next trailer from Rockstar and Take-Two.
