Story Highlight
  • CDPR has not given many updates on upcoming games like The Witcher 4 and Project Orion.
  • The developer finally spoke about the former recently, claiming that it will be the most advanced CDPR game ever.
  • Fans can now have even higher expectations since the developer seems pretty confident.

Tons of fans are awaiting the sequel to Witcher 3. This RPG left a huge mark in the industry, and many fans are still playing it to this day. As CDPR continues to work on the sequel, the excitement has reached new levels for the fans.

Audiences hope to see overhauled combat, better stories, a bigger world, and more. It seems CDPR is aware of these demands since the team has claimed that The Witcher 4 will be its most advanced game ever.

Why it matters: The Witcher 3 was great, but its combat felt clunky. There was still room for improvement, and it seems CDPR is hoping to make these improvements in the sequel.

Multiple games are currently being developed for the Witcher series. In addition to The Witcher 4, a multiplayer spin-off and a remake have fans excited about the different flavors of the IP.

In a recent episode of the Flow Games podcast, CDPR’s Pawel Sasko discussed the development cycle of these games. Sasko revealed that The Witcher 4 is the most advanced of all of the aforementioned titles.

“The most advanced of all of those.”

This is great news for The Witcher fans; however, it doesn’t mean that the other games would be underwhelming. It should be noted that the upcoming Witcher 4 currently has the main force of CDPR working on it.

There is Barely Any Information About The Upcoming Witcher Game From CDPR

Over 400 people are working on this project, so it seems like there’s hardly any chance of the RPG falling short of expectations.

The studio has already learned so much from Cyberpunk 2077, so hopes are extremely high for its upcoming games. CDPR hasn’t talked much about any of its upcoming games, but The Witcher 4 should be released before Project Orion, the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel.

The Witcher 4 should also eclipse Cyberpunk 2077 in scope, making it one of the industry’s most ambitious projects. Elsewhere, Larian holds a similar belief, claiming that CDPR can surpass its work on Baldur’s Gate 3.
