- Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake’s release date might have been leaked through a listing.
- The vendor revealed a pre-order listing and a release set for November 17.
- The post has now been deleted.
Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake debuted a brilliant trailer at the recent Xbox Showcase. However, a major detail that was still missing was the release date. While Konami hasn’t explicitly revealed it, a listing for pre-orders has potentially leaked the release date.
Why it matters: Metal Gear Solid is among Konami’s biggest franchises, and the third installment is some of their best work yet. So, everyone is hyped for the release, but the lack of a release date was a bit disappointing.
In a recent post on X, GameStop accidentally revealed that the release date for Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake is November 17, with the pre-orders now open. However, this date is a little peculiar. The post from GameStop has now been deleted. But we did manage to grab a screenshot.
It’s peculiar since Metal Gear Solid 3 was originally released on the same day 20 years ago. So, while it’s fitting that they might release the title to mark its 20th anniversary, it’s not official yet.
Various media outlets have contacted the vendor for a response. However, considering the post has now been deleted, it could be the actual release date. This would also align with the previously rumored 2024 window.
Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake seems to be worth all the hype so far, at least from the first look at the gameplay. It looks like a faithful remake that keeps the original’s essence and adds a modern touch to it.
However, recent rumors have also pointed to a launch in 2025. Therefore, it may be best to take this information with a grain of salt for the time being. Perhaps Gamestop has used a placeholder date.
