- Ubisoft Japan is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
- The General Manager of this studio has hinted at exciting things that are still to come this year.
- Alongside the 30th anniversary, he points to Assassin’s Creed Red as something to anticipate in 2024.
Assassin’s Creed Red is a huge release for Ubisoft. After delaying the move to Japan for over a decade and downright denying players the satisfaction of venturing into this region on many occasions, the publisher is finally fulfilling demands.
With an updated engine, the triumphant return of RPG mechanics, and multiple playable characters, leaks have already created quite a wave of excitement for this project. Adding to the list, Ubisoft seems to have confirmed a 2024 launch for the title.
Why it matters: While most fans were already convinced that Assassin’s Creed Red would launch in 2024, it is reassuring to receive confirmation directly from the publisher.
As spotted on Twitter, Ubisoft’s General Manager for Japan and Korea recently took to LinkedIn to celebrate Ubisoft Japan’s 30th anniversary.
Reflecting on three decades of work, he looked back on all the incredible moments of this anniversary. These include a cosplay photobook for Rainbow Six Siege and recognition in the Famitsu magazine.
However, he confirmed that Ubisoft has much more in store for 2024, including Assassin’s Creed Red.
It couldn’t be a better year, between this anniversary and Assassin’s Creed Red on the way.

The General Manager’s statement speaks for itself and more or less confirms that Assassin’s Creed Red is part of this incredible year.
Further evidence of a 2024 launch comes from similar posts made by other Ubisoft employees as early as 2023. Moreover, a content creator has pointed to a November release later this year.
Assassin’s Creed Red has the opportunity to bring this series back on track. Between Star Wars Outlaws, The Rogue Prince of Persia, and the Japanese Assassin’s Creed entry, the developer seems to have a lot to offer in 2024.
Following the poor reception of Skull and Bones, a lot is riding on the success of these projects. Fortunately, Ubisoft does not seem to have any intentions of letting the fans down.
