Assassin’s Creed Mirage does not have an officially announced release date yet, but retailers from Japan may have spilled the beans before Ubisoft. According to various retailers, Assasin’s Creed Mirage will be released on October 12.
Why it matters: Ubisoft is facing a difficult situation with layoffs and cancellations. This has likely affected Assassin’s Creed development, with a previous leak also hinting at a potential delay for the game.
As seen above, Amazon Japan claims the Assassin’s Creed game will launch in October. However, Amazon is not the only retailer with a listing pointing to the same release date.
It should also be noted that Japanese retailers do not usually list games with placeholder dates. This means the October 12 date may be accurate, unlike past placeholder dates from platforms like Amazon.
Recently, a leaker hinted at the same date for Assassin’s Creed Mirage. The leaker has proven reliable in the past, and the latest information appears accurate. However, he also suggested that a delay to November is still possible.
A few seconds of leaked footage recently showed Basim’s running animation in the game. While nothing shown was out of the ordinary, it gave fans a small glimpse of Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
The game is expected to return to the roots of the series, with a focus on stealth and parkour, compared to the RPG elements in the recent trilogy. Assassin’s Creed Mirage will also mark the biggest gap between two releases from the franchise.
As such, expectations are high, and fans are hoping that Ubisoft can bring the beloved series back to form with a focus on classic elements.
