The Metal Gear Solid franchise has produced various notable titles, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is one of the best in the franchise. It was first launched in 2004 for PS2 and received excellent reviews.

Recent rumors have suggested that Konami may be working on a Metal Gear Solid remake. Adding to these rumors, the latest report from a reliable source hints that Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater will be remade, and it will be available on multiple platforms.

Why it matters: Earlier reports suggested that Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake would be exclusive to PlayStation, but many fans on all platforms have wanted to play the game from the iconic IP.

PlayStation may still have a marketing deal or content exclusivity for the game, as the source suggests that Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake will be revealed at PlayStation Showcase on May 24.

Previously, another reliable leaker hinted that the game could come to Xbox. This, in addition to the latest report, means that Xbox users can anticipate the classic title returning to the Xbox platform.

The leak also appears to confirm the platforms for Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake. According to the source, the game will skip last-gen consoles, releasing on PS5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC.
