Rise of The Ronin is expected to release in 2024, and many fans have been curious if the game would support the last-generation PS4 console. However, Team Ninja has recently confirmed that Rise of The Ronin will not be released on PS4.

While cross-platform games are still abundant in 2023, games like Final Fantasy 16 and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will mark the beginning of PlayStation’s shift away from PS4. Rise of The Ronin appears to follow in a similar direction.
Developing the game for PS5 should allow the developer to utilize the new hardware for a bigger world, seamless load times, impressive visuals, and more. All of this should help Team Ninja realize their vision for the upcoming RPG.
