A new look at Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad game is coming soon at an upcoming State of Play later today. The event will showcase 15 minutes of new gameplay, giving fans their first look at uncut footage from Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League.
A few hours ahead of the State of Play, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League has also been given a Mature(M18) rating by the IMDA, revealing a few more details about the game.
The rating highlights aliens and robots as the main enemies throughout the game. This was also seen in previous trailers, and a better look will likely come during the gameplay from State of Play.
Players can also expect plenty of boss fights. According to the description, each area has its boss fight, likely referring to different members of the Justice League, like The Flash, Batman, Superman, and more.
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League will also involve side objectives like rescuing civilians or item hunting for upgrades. Previously, a leaked image showed several currencies expected to be used for upgrades throughout the game.
The rest of the rating focuses on the violence depicted in the game. Since Suicide Squad is not based on traditional superheroes, it should not be surprising that players will encounter several violent scenes.
These scenes will vary from decapitations to impaling and more. Players will also encounter profanity in Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League.
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is set to be released in just over three months on May 26. The game will mix live-service elements with Rocksteady’s expertise in single-player games for the developer’s first release in over six years.
