EA Motive is set to release the much anticipated Dead Space Remake in a few weeks. The game looks extremely promising, and audiences worldwide are hyped for the return of a classic horror game.
The developer has already announced its next project, and EA Motive is leading development on an Iron Man game. Details on this game are sparse, but a new job listing could hint at Unreal Engine for Iron Man.
As first spotted by Emopulse, a listing for Senior Level Designer-Iron Man says;
Familiarity with advanced game engine like Unreal
This might initially seem odd since EA has traditionally stuck to the Frostbite engine. The Engine was initially made for the Battlefield franchise, but modern EA games like Need for Speed Unbound and Fifa 23 have used Frostbite. EA Motive’s Dead Space Remake will also use the Frostbite engine.
However, EA is also no stranger to Unreal Engine. Upcoming games like Star Wars Jedi Survivor have been confirmed to use Unreal Engine, and the next Mass Effect is rumored to make the switch, so it does not seem far-fetched for EA Motive to follow suit.
Unreal Engine is slowly becoming the industry standard for big developers. Epic has recently showcased an incredible graphical update for Fortnite, and many future games are looking to use the Engine for similar results.
Unreal Engine is full of untapped potential, and developers worldwide are hard at work using the Engine for incredible gaming experiences. While nothing has been officially announced, EA Motive could be one of these developers, utilizing Unreal Engine to create the best Iron Man game.
