According to the sources of foreign media Videocardz, Nvidia has confirmed the official pricing on the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. The new mid-high-end graphics card will be sold at an MSRP of $799, which is $400 cheaper than the GeForce RTX 4080 16GB.

Nvidia will not offer a Founders Edition graphics card for the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti will only be available from AIB partners, as we have already seen custom variants from MSI and Gigabyte.

Furthermore, GeForce RTX 4070 Ti will offer 40 TFLOPs of single compute performance, making it faster than the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti.

There are no official performance charts for the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti yet, aside from the leaked 3DMark performance figures, which also puts the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti above the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti.

Aside from the performance improvements over Ampere, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti would also be an entry point for anyone looking to invest in Nvidia DLSS 3.0 upscaling technology and AV1 encoding support.

leaked 3DMark performance numbers

The GeForce RTX 4070 Ti will be based on Nvidia’ Ada Lovelace’ architecture and equipped with AD104-400 GPU. The card will also feature 7,680 CUDA Cores, while the 12GB of GDDR6X memory on the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti will run on a 192-bit bus interface with 48 MB of L2 cache. Aside from that, the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti will have a total rated board power of 285W, which is 35W less than the GeForce RTX 3080 while performing marginally better.

Nvidia is expected to announce the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti today at CES on the 3rd of January, 2023, and it will be available on shelves starting the 5th of January, 2023.

Even though there will be no Founders Edition card for the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti, there should be reference PCB offerings from AIB partners that will be available at the official MSRP of $799. But in the end, it will all depend on the demand for the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti.

What are your thoughts on the pricing of the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti?
